An international conference on a range of visual forms and experiences in the modern and contemporary periods, "Scenes and Visions" brings together scholars from multiple disciplines to examine how the notion of a dynamic and interrelated "visual culture" will introduce new insights and perspectives in our study of Chinese societies and cultures throughout the twentieth century.
